Laser Hair Removal

Laser and/or Light hair removal has proven to be the most effective way to eliminate unwanted hair. Our new laser allows us to treat all skin types and most hair colors more effectively than any other product on the market today. Pure white hair does not respond, and light blond hair can be reduced with additional treatments. Any hair with at least some pigment (color) in it can be treated effectively. Following the treatment, you can generally return to work and resume all regular activities immediately.

After a thorough analysis of your hair and the area, we choose the best laser/light system to optimize your results. Better results are seen with the area having been shaved in the past 24 hours. Pulses of laser/light energy are delivered to the base of the hair to effectively destroy the follicle. Once this has occurred, that specific hair will never grow back. As all hair grows in cycles, we recommend a series of treatments, one every 4-8 weeks. Normally 3-8 treatments may be needed to remove the maximum amount of hair.

Each pulse of light feels like a slight sting or pinch, similar to a snap of a rubber band, and the Sciton laser offers dramatic improvements in discomfort levels over previous generation lasers. No local anesthesia is required and most people tolerate the treatment well. The number of treatments required depends on several factors related to your specific kind of hair and skin.
